Al Hamra Village is a sea-side premium real estate and tourism project and
is the first freehold development to be built in the city of Ras Al Khaimah. The
AED 1 billion (US$ 274 million) resort and residential development, will consist
of more than 1,350 residential units, a marina, 3 hotels, an 18-hole golf course,
a shopping mall, a 5 kilometer jogging track, and yachting and golf clubs. It is
located along the Ettihad Road, approximately a 40 minute drive from the Dubai International
Airport.

Al Hamra Village is being built in 3 phases. The first phase will have the development
of 3-bedroom townhouses and the 4-bedroom semi-detached duplexes to be completed
by the 1st quarter of 2006. The second phase will cover the development of additional
3-bedroom townhouses, the studio and one-bedroom golf apartments, the 5-bedroom
villas (Villa B), the 6-bedroom villas (Villa C), the studio to 3-bedroom marina
apartments, and the first 9 holes of the golf course to be completed by the beginning
of 2007. The specifications of the development of the third phase haven't been disclosed,
but will be completed by the end of 2007.
Al Hamra Village already contains the Al Hamra Fort Hotel, but will soon also contain
the 22-floor, 400-room, 5-star, 116 meter (380 foot) Al Hamra Palace Hotel. Another
hotel will be built on the 2.3 million square foot (214 thousand square meter) man-made
island that will be linked to the rest of the Al Hamra Village project by a bridge.
Marina -Beyond The Land: For those who prefer water to land the marina offers
a variety of aqua activity. Deep sea fishing trips, catamaran rides, scuba diving
and snorkelling as well as kayaks, paddleboats, parasailing, speedboats and water
skiing.
Ras Al Khaimah-Bringing The Future: The Construction of the Emirates highway
is anticipated to dramatically increase the value of property in Ras Al Khaimah
, Commissioned by the federal government, it links Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah, reducing
the journey time to mere 40 minutes. The effectively makes Ras Al Khaimah closer
to the centre of Dubai than some suburbs within Dubai itself. Its completion is
scheduled to coincide with the opening of Al Hamra Village.
